Andrew Bucko is a software engineer, youth baseball coach, and former journalist. He started regularly attending Bridgewater town council meetings as a concerned citizen and advocate for good government. Andrew works with numbers for a living and it was clear that the Council's work in Bridgewater didn't add up. When he saw that the council was just there to rubber-stamp bad decisions, he felt it was time to step up and do something about it. Andrew is running for council to bring good government and responsible, timely budgeting back to Bridgewater.
Ridwana Isla is working at the cutting edge of the modern economy, developing regulatory strategies for biopharmaceutical companies focused on oncology and cell therapy. In Bridgewater, Ridwana sees taxes rising and services shrinking all because of a council that is out of touch. Bridgewater needs a council that looks like its residents, and it needs council members like Ridwana who will fight to bring business opportunities and sustainable investment to our town.
Companies like Sanofi didn't leave New Jersey, they only left Bridgewater. Ridwana has worked in business from Washington D.C. to Germany and now she'll bring that international business experience to serving Bridgewater residents.
Joan Geiger has called Bridgewater home for the past 28 years. It's where both her children grew up and went to school and it's where she will bring more than 40 years of legal experience to serving Bridgewater's residents.
Joan is an experienced attorney and highly respected court appointed mediator who owns and operates her own firm in Somerville. She has experience in local government as the former assistant attorney for Raritan Borough. Joan Geiger is running to prioritize finding practical solutions to problems like stormwater management and housing affordability, which affect the everyday lives of residents.
